How long will the effects of Anti- Wrinkle Injections last?

The results of botulinum toxin will last from 3 to 4 months, you’ll notice a gradual fading off effect and the lines on the face will be as they were before. If you wish, at this stage you can return for another treatment, as with repeated treatments, the effects last longer.

Who would benefit from the Anti-Wrinkle treatment?

Botulinum toxin can benefit anyone, and both men and women. It is most effective in improving the lines or wrinkles that are due to facial expressions, including frown and forehead lines. These particular lines are usually caused by overactive muscles and this treatment stops the muscles from contracting and causing the wrinkles.

How long does the Anti-Wrinkle treatment take?

The treatment itself can take as little as 10 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated on the day. The effects can begin to appear quickly, even within 48 hours to 72 hours, although the full extent of the treatment may not be visible for up to 2 weeks.

Is Anti-Wrinkle treatment uncomfortable?

Discomfort during this treatment is minimal and short-lived if at all, and because of this, most clients opt for treatment without any topical anaesthesia (numbing). Very tiny needles are used and only small amounts of the toxin are administered. However, we always do have the numbing cream ready and available for any client who wishes to have the area numbed beforehand.

Are there any adverse side effects of Anti-Wrinkle injections?

In a very small number of cases there may be some localised bruising, slight swelling, or redness at the injection site. This usually disappears very quickly and can respond to the application of a cool pack and the use of arnica cream. As soon as your treatment is over you can resume normal daily activities.

Do the effects of Anti Wrinkle treatment look artificial?

No, not at all. This treatment is very specific and only works on those muscles that are involved in producing the facial lines you want to reduce. Your other muscles are unaffected, so this means that your usual facial expressions remain the same.

Are Lip Fillers treatment uncomfortable?

A local anaesthetic (numbing) cream can be used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. However for lip treatments, Dr Pierre will numb the area with an injection similar to a dental anaesthesia and after the treatment you’ll receive aftercare instructions to maximise its benefits.

How long do Dermal Fillers last?

There are many dermal filler products available, and they vary in thickness for different areas of the face. The length of time that the fillers last depends on the type of used and the area injected but on average you would expect the results of a Hyaluronic acid dermal filler to last around 6-12+ months. The dermal filler is gradually broken down by your body and the level of volume you gained lessens, so you can either have the area ‘topped-up’ to retain the effect or allow the area to gradually return to how it was before treatment.

Can anyone have Dermal Filler treatment?

Dermal fillers are suitable for most people, but there are certain medications and conditions that preclude its use. Dr Pierre will ask a number of questions to ensure that dermal fillers are appropriate. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding you would be advised to delay treatment until breast-feeding has finished, simply as a precaution.

Will Dermaplaning make my hairs grow back thicker?

Once your hair begins to grow back it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s actually the same texture as before and grows at the same speed. It also just might seem thicker because the hair was bluntly cut by the razor versus having a natural point to it.

Is there any downtime after the Dermaplaning treatment?

No, there isn’t any downtime however there may be Some light redness but not always, making it the perfect treatment still have time for in a hectic schedule.

Is additional aftercare advised after getting the Dermaplaning treatment?

It is advised to wear sun protection every day anyway but especially when outside for a prolonged period of time. After the treatment your skin is especially susceptible to the sun so definitely worth ensuring your skin is protected.

What daily benefits will the Dermaplaning treatment bring?

It makes a huge difference with make-up application, as commonly the ‘peach fuzz’ (hairs on the skin) tends to stand out even more underneath foundation and face powders. As dermaplaning removes all of those little hairs on your face, makeup goes on much smoother and your skincare products will be more effective since the product isn’t being blocked by the dead skin cells and can penetrate the skin faster.

How long do Dermaplaning treatment results last?
