Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are used to bring a more youthful appearance by restoring volume or fullness to the face. They work to reduce or eliminate lines by plumping out the areas in the skin and the effect is seen immediately after treatment. They are typically made up of hyaluronic acid and depending which product is used, typically last between 4-18 months.
Dermal fillers can be indicated for many areas of the face to:
- Create a more defined and sharper jaw line and to disguise jowls.
Soften naso-labial lines which deepen over time (nose to mouth lines).
Soften static crow’s feet lines (lines at the side of the eyes present at rest / without smiling).
Replace volume loss in tear troughs (can correct hollowing, and darkening in under eye areas).
- Reshape noses by disguising bumps giving the appearance of a smaller and straighter nose.
- Hide necklace bands, the lines that run horizontally along the neck in a necklace manner that can age a neck.
- Replace volume loss in cheeks, creating a more youthful and contoured cheek and improving jowls, nasolabial and marionette lines too.
- Soften marionette lines that often make people feel like they look constantly ‘sad’ (lines going down from the corner of the mouth).
- Create a rounder, more elongated or protruded chin to create a much more feminine chin both face on and from the side view creating profile harmonisation.
- Give more volume in the lips. Results can vary according to the clients aim, lips can look very natural with a subtle enhancement or they can look more full and plump.
