Our Approach to Microneedling
At our Peacehaven clinic, microneedling is one of the treatments Dr Louise often recommends when uneven texture, fine lines, enlarged pores or acne scarring are the main concerns.
For mature skin, it can also form part of an ongoing skin-maintenance plan. Regular treatments can help support skin quality and collagen production as these naturally decline with age, rather than waiting until a particular concern becomes more noticeable.
Dr Louise prefers a controlled approach rather than treating the skin too aggressively. The aim is not to leave the face excessively inflamed or “red and raw”, but to create an appropriate level of stimulation based on your skin, the area being treated and what you would like to improve.

Results & What Our Peacehaven Clients Often Notice
Microneedling is not an instant transformation treatment. Most clients choose it because they are looking for gradual improvement as the skin repairs and remodels over time.
Some may have started to notice more visible pores, fine lines, uneven texture or changes associated with sun exposure. For others, acne scarring from much earlier in life remains the main concern.
Many of our Peacehaven clients notice their skin feeling smoother, firmer and more even in texture. With a course of treatments, improvements in fine lines, enlarged pores, texture and overall skin quality become more noticeable.
Acne scarring usually requires more patience. Shallower scars often respond better than deeper or more severe scarring, and a longer treatment plan may be recommended.
For general skin improvement, Dr Louise usually recommends starting with three or four treatments around one month apart, followed by a review.
Microneedling is not intended to replace lost facial volume or significantly tighten loose skin. If these are contributing to what you are seeing, Dr Louise may suggest another treatment or discuss how different approaches could be combined over time.

Consultation & Procedure
Your microneedling appointment at our Peacehaven clinic is carried out by Dr Louise Pierre in a private, calm clinical setting.
Your visit begins with a consultation. Dr Louise will assess your skin, discuss the changes you have noticed and what you would like to improve, and review your medical history before recommending an appropriate approach.
It is also an opportunity to talk about your longer-term skin goals. Some clients come to us with one particular concern, while others are looking for a regular treatment plan to help maintain skin quality as their skin matures.
If microneedling is suitable for you and you are happy to proceed, treatment can usually take place during the same appointment.
For some clients, microneedling remains a regular part of their skin-maintenance plan. For others, their needs may change over time and treatments such as polynucleotides, Profhilo or skin boosters may be considered alongside, or instead of, microneedling.
